About
Glenn and Angela Stoner run Quartz Mountain Winery in Altus, near the Wichita Mountains of Southwest Oklahoma. Glenn, a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel with 31 years of service and descendant of the Eastern Shawnee and Muskogee Creek tribes, partners with Angela, a seasoned project manager whose graduate school final project became the winery itself. The portfolio spans whites from Quartz Ridge, a dry white with citrus and light oak, to Sage & Spirit, a semi-sweet white with floral and fruity notes. Rosés include Quartz Shimmer, a sweet expression with edible glitter and notes of raspberries, peaches and honey. The reds range from Red Buffalo Creek, a dry red with rich, velvety notes, to Mountain Echo, a bold dry red with plum and tart cherry flavors and vanilla-smoked finish. Squatch Watch is a dry red blend with bourbon-seasoned French oak. Homestead Spice is a semi-sweet white infused with mulling spices like cinnamon and clove.
