About
Ponte began farming vineyards in 1984, two decades before the winery itself was founded in 2003. Nearly 300 acres now grow 21 varieties across Temecula, making it one of the region's largest vineyard operations. The portfolio spans Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Moscato, Sangiovese, Barbera, Tempranillo, Grenache, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Grigio, and Vermentino, alongside the notable Beverino. In 2012, the house became innkeepers, opening a Spanish-style, 90-room Inn surrounded by the vineyards. The Restaurant at Ponte serves al fresco dining with live music Friday and Saturday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The winery is open daily 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The program also includes an annual Grape Stomp event and sister operations at BOTTAIA Winery in Temecula Valley Wine Country and Hawks View Winery in Sherwood, Oregon.
