About Podere Salicutti
Podere Salicutti sits in the southeastern corner of Montalcino, where Felix and Sabine Eichbauer established their estate on 11 hectares in 1994. Four and a half hectares of vines spread across three named crus. Teatro, planted that first year at 500 meters, anchors the highest point. Piaggione, planted in 1994 and 2007, rises from 420 to 450 meters. Sorgente, at 450 meters, feeds the Rosso di Montalcino program. Francesco Leanza leads the cellar work. The estate was the first organically certified in Montalcino and practices biodynamic viticulture. Sangiovese is the house varietal, expressed across the portfolio including A Rosso.
