About
Ludington sits at the edge of Michigan wine country, where the Morton family has farmed for generations. A trip to France in the 1980s redirected Wes and Elsie toward the vineyard. Today, winemaker Wes Morton works entirely from estate-grown fruit, blending traditional old-world technique with cold-climate varietals. The program spans Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, and Riesling alongside French-American hybrids like Marquette, Seyval, and Foch. Hunter Red marries DeChaunac, Marechal Foch, and Pinot Noir. Badger White layers Chardonnay, Riesling, and Seyval. The tasting room occupies a converted equestrian tack room.
