About Pepper Tree Wines
Pepper Tree Wines, established in 1991 by John Davis, draws from vineyard sites across four Australian regions. Hunter Valley, Orange, Wrattonbully, and Coonawarra anchor the program. At Orange, vines are planted at 1100 meters above sea level. Coonawarra holds 8 hectares of Cabernet and 4 hectares of Merlot. Winemaker Jim Chatto produces a portfolio spanning Shiraz, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet, and Merlot. The house also produces a trio of grape-infused gins drawn from its vineyards.
