Ovum Wines LLC

About

Ksenija and John House founded Ovum Wines in Newberg in 2011. Ksenija Kostic House leads the winemaking program, working with native ferments and minimal intervention. The cellar uses extended lees contact of 8 to 9 months in neutral vessels including acacia, oak, cement egg, and Austrian cask, with no subtractions or additions beyond SO2. The portfolio centers on Riesling and Chardonnay. The 2023 Off the Grid Riesling and 2023 Memorista Riesling each earned 94 points from James Suckling. There are no winery tours or tastings. The house operates a wine club with shipping benefits and Bar Nina, a wine bar.
