Nicolau de Almeida is a family-run winery located at Quinta do Monte Xisto in the Douro Superior region of Portugal, established in 1993 by João Nicolau de Almeida. The estate produces both Port wines and Douro wines using organic and biodynamic farming practices on 40 hectares, with 10 hectares dedicated to vineyards planted on schist hillsides.
