Schönberg am Kamp sits in the northernmost reach of the Kamptal, seventy kilometers northwest of Vienna. Nibiru cultivates some of the northernmost vineyards in the Kamptal, where loess topsoil gives way to ancient primary rock, amphibolite, gneiss, and metamorphic stone. The work follows Demeter principles, organic and biodynamic from canopy to harvest to selection, all by hand. The program spans Kamptal regional wines, village designations, and single-vineyard bottlings. Many mature for extended periods on the lees in barrels and tanks. Single-vineyard releases often wait several years before they leave the cellar.
