Red Mountain. Ryan and Rebecca Johnson founded MTN/ART on fruit from WeatherEye Vineyard, a 440-acre property Ryan designed and developed in 2016 with owner Cameron Myhrvold, where he now serves as manager and partner. Before that, Ryan managed Ciel du Cheval Vineyard for 15 vintages. WeatherEye carries 37 acres of vines today. In 2024 the Johnsons licensed the shop as a winery and planted a small Estate vineyard of their own on the mountain. The World's Gone Mad 2023, a blend of 62% Mourvedre and 38% Syrah, came in at 14.6% ABV across 76 cases. The Edge of the Wild 2023 mixes 86% Syrah with Mourvedre and Graciano, 113 cases at 12.9% ABV. Sol to Soul Pét-Nat 2024, a field blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Viognier, and Clairette Blanche, numbers just 22 cases.
