Moraitis Winery

About

Been family-run since 1910, this Paros winery grows rare indigenous Greek varieties like Monemvasia (which the island literally saved from extinction) using the unique "aplotaria" technique where vines sprawl on the ground to shield grapes from the sun and wind. The organic vineyards sit on terraced mountain slopes with stone walls, and you can taste the results in their underground cellars while checking out their wine museum.
