Meriwether Springs

About

Thirty-six private acres in Ivy, Virginia, anchored by the original estate of explorer Meriwether Lewis. In 1804, Thomas Jefferson commissioned Lewis to lead an exploration across the Louisiana Territory. Vineyard rows, a private lake, two ponds, and Ivy Creek frontage are set on the property. One of the original family springhouses remains. The main house offers six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, sleeping up to 14 across three queen rooms and a loft. Ten to fifteen minutes from Charlottesville, the estate sits adjacent to the Blue Ridge Mountains and within the Monticello Wine Trail.
