About Mastroserio Winery
Ruggero Mastroserio founded Mastroserio Winery in 2010 in the Fair Play AVA of El Dorado County. His background spans engineering, geology, and music, alongside enology training in Italy with Mario Maffi and Mattia Vezzola. Before establishing the winery, he served as CFO of Oliver Vineyards in Somerset and made wines at Latcham and Granite Springs. The vineyard features granitic soils, rolling elevations, and diverse microclimates. The portfolio includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Bordeaux Blends, Sangiovese, Barbera, Teroldego, Fiano, Greco di Tufo, and Falanghina. The wines have won hundreds of awards in domestic and international competitions. The tasting room opens Friday through Sunday, 11am to 5pm, with weekday appointments available. The wine club releases four selections annually, three bottles each at a minimum 25 percent discount off retail.
