About Markko Vineyard

Markko Vineyard was founded in 1968 on the shores of Lake Erie in Conneaut, Ohio, among the first serious attempts by an Ohio winemaker to grow European Vinifera grapes in the region. The work began under guidance from Dr. Konstantin Frank, with late partner Tim Hubbard shaping the program. Chardonnay and Riesling form the core of the portfolio, both recognized and acclaimed by leading wine experts. The Cabernet Sauvignon blends Chamborcin, Cabernet Frank, and Merlot.
