About
Paolo D'Andrea arrived in the United States in 1986 carrying four generations of Italian winemaking heritage from Friuli. He and Sylvia founded Luna Rossa in 2001 in Deming, drawing on his training in viticulture and grafting from Spilimbergo. The program centers on Italian varietals grown exclusively in their Mimbres Valley vineyards, with lower yields prioritized for quality. Aged wines rest in medium toast French and American oak. The house produces roughly 8,000 cases annually. Luna Rossa Winery & Pizzeria opened in Las Cruces in 2011. A second tasting room is located in Mesilla. The wine club carries no membership fee and offers 15% off purchases.
