Lonesome Vine LLC

About

Lonesome Vine LLC planted its first estate Tempranillo vines in 2018 on nearly 6 acres in the western half of the Texoma AVA, at approximately 1,200 feet elevation. The soil is sandy-clay-loam, well drained and acidic. The winery and barrel room were completed in 2019, followed by a temporary tasting room in early 2023, when the house officially launched. The program works with Tempranillo, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, Picpoul Blanc, Petite Sirah, and Petite Verdot. The vineyard has operated without herbicide spray since 2020 and achieved a 75% reduction in fungicides, with only one application in 2022. The appointment-only tasting room is open Friday through Sunday, offering charcuterie and gourmet pizzas alongside the wines.
