About
Redwood Valley, California. Tryfon Lolonis left Vlaherna, Greece, searching for a valley that resembled his home village, and in 1914 he purchased the 120-acre ranch that would become the family's ground. He and Eugenia planted the vineyards in 1920. The family has farmed here for over 100 years, now into a fourth generation making small-batch, handcrafted wines. Many blocks are dry-farmed old vines, planted more than 70 years ago, and the vineyards have been organically farmed since the early '50s. The winery is certified organic, and its wines come from organically grown, glyphosate free grapes.
