About Lake Michigan Vintners, LLC
Lake Michigan Vintners operates from the Welch Center for Wine & Viticulture on Lake Michigan College's campus in Benton Harbor, drawing fruit from local growers in the Lake Michigan Shore AVA and pressing in-house. The operation is the Midwest's first commercial teaching winery, offering an accredited A.A.S. degree in Wine & Viticulture Technology through partnership with Lake Michigan College. The tasting room opens Friday and Saturday from noon to six.
