About LA TRIBULEIRA Az. Agr. s.s. Agr
La Tribuleira, founded in 2000 in S. Stefano Belbo, is run by siblings Mauro, Daniele, and Elisa Gallo. The name comes from the Piedmontese word tribilè, meaning to struggle and face difficult challenges. The family produces grapes without herbicides or insecticides. Their Lunica, a Langhe D.O.C. Nascetta from a 0.65-hectare vineyard planted in 2004, draws from a historic native varietal first documented in the 1800s and rediscovered in the late 1990s. The Nebbiolo ages 12 months in oak and is suitable for aging 10 to 15 years.
