Rick and Theresa Kaiser began making wine in 2002, long before establishing Kaiser Family Winery in 2013. Both CPAs by trade, they purchased their Calistoga property on the valley floor in 2004 and planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Sauvignon Blanc vines in 2005 at Buoni Amici Vineyard. The program now produces Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, and Port Wine. Fruit is handpicked and hand sorted, then fermented in open bin fermenters. Tasting by appointment only.
