Jake Busching has spent decades growing grapes and making wine in Virginia, the past ten years devoted to his own label in Charlottesville. The program draws from the Monticello Wine AVA, working with Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Petit Manseng, and Viognier. The 2021 Chardonnay, fifty cases from Beacon Tree Vineyards in Keswick and Bellefox Vineyards in Albemarle County, aged ten months in barrel with twenty percent new French oak. The 2023 Cheninquisition, a hundred percent Chenin Blanc from Beacon Tree, fermented in stainless steel and bottled after four months. The 2019 Blend, two hundred cases of Viognier, Chardonnay, and Petit Manseng, spent six months sur lie. No tasting room.
