About

Founded in 2000, Iowa State University Winery sits on thirteen acres in Ames, where Matt Nissen leads the program. The cellar works with hybrid and native American grapes alongside meads and hard apple ciders. The house was the first winery in Iowa to offer wine on tap. The tasting room opens to visitors, while the banquet facility accommodates up to 250 guests for weddings, complete with commercial kitchen, bride and groom suites, and bar.
