Zaal Liluashvili’s Marani

About

The Liluashvili family has a 150-year history of winemaking in the village of Shuagora near Vani, in Georgia's Imereti region, though the winery's own wine was first bottled in 2018. Fermentation takes place in qvevri, whose clay the family believes imparts antiseptic properties, using two hectares of estate vineyard without buying outside grapes.
