Founded in 2003, Batono Wine Company is based in the village of Giorgitsminda, Sagarejo Municipality, Kakheti, in the foothills of the Gombori mountains. It produces standard, qvevri, and Italian-method sparkling wines from indigenous varieties including Saperavi, Alexandrouli, Mujuretuli, Rkatsiteli, Kakhuri Mtsvane, Kisi, and Khikhvi.
