Gevelli Wine and Vineyards

About

Gevelli Wine and Vineyards is located in the village of Vardisubani, Telavi Municipality, in Georgia's Kakheti region, within the Alazani Valley and the Tsinandali micro-zone appellation, on land historically used for viticulture for centuries and once owned by 18th-century diplomat Solomon Lionidze, chancellor to King Erekle II. The estate covers over 40 hectares and produces wine using both modern equipment and traditional qvevri fermentation for select bottlings, under winemaker Archil Pharsadanishvili.
