Château Mukhrani

About

Château Mukhrani is a historic estate in the village of Mukhrani, Mtskheta municipality, founded by Prince Ivane Mukhranbatoni after he visited Bordeaux, with a French-designed palace built over 12 years. Abandoned during the Soviet period, it was restored beginning in 2002 with the first modern wines bottled in 2007. The estate farms over 100 hectares and produces both traditional qvevri wines and modern-style wines from Georgian grapes including Goruli Mtsvane, Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Chinuri, Tavkveri, and Shavkapito, alongside international varieties.
