Mukuzani Winery LLC was founded by Gocha Ichkitidze in the village of Mukuzani, Gurjaani Municipality, Kakheti region, on the Alazani River Plain at 415 meters elevation with views toward the Caucasus Mountains. The village itself was first recorded in the 16th century; the winery combines modern Italian processing equipment with classical Georgian winemaking methods and is working toward an eventual capacity of 1 million bottles a year. As of the source date it was not yet represented in the U.S. market.
