Rooted in a 19th-century family and church winemaking tradition begun by Bishop Petre Konchoshvili, the winery now operates as part of Corporation Kindzmarauli under the Konchoshvili family. It is located near Kvareli village in Sagarejo Municipality, Kakheti, just north of the Alazani River at 405 meters elevation.
