Oda Family Marani (Keto Ninidze & Zaza Gagua)

About

Oda Family Marani is a family winery in Martvili, Samegrelo region, built around a traditional wooden "Oda" house first raised in 1933 by Parten Gagua and Olga Gegia. Great-grandson Zaza Gagua and his wife Keto Ninidze revived the property as a winery in 2016, replacing hazelnut orchards with vineyards of rare endemic grape varieties. The estate practices natural, minimal-intervention winemaking with buried qvevri and offers vineyard and marani tours with wine tastings and Megrelian cooking masterclasses, by advance booking.
