Idle Cellars

About

Idle Cellars opened in 2006 in Kenwood as a winemaker-owned micro-winery. The program centers on organic, small-batch work with minimal intervention in the cellar. Cabernet Franc, Grenache, and Sauvignon Blanc form the core of the portfolio, with recent releases including the 2019 Cabernet Franc, 2018 Grenache, 2024 Sauvignon Blanc, and 2023 Rosé of Grenache. The house sources from vineyard partners including Kick Ranch, Speedy Creek, Los Chamizal, Catherine Bonneau Vineyards, and Mounts Vineyard. A tasting room welcomes visitors, and vineyard tours are available.
