Founded in 1996 by Elder Ephraim, a former abbot of Philotheou Monastery on Mount Athos, Holy Archangles is a cenobitic men's monastery in Kendalia, north of San Antonio and west of Austin. Under the Metropolis of Denver, the community produces wine from grapes grown sustainably in the Napa and Sonoma AVAs.
