About Hofer
Wolfgang Hofer works in Mauer, at the edge of the Wienerwald. The program spans reds, whites, and frizzante. Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, and St. Laurent anchor the red portfolio. Grauburgunder, Riesling, and Wiener Gemischter Satz form the whites, with Lilly Rosecco and Riesling Secco adding sparkle. The Herr Hofer Grauburgunder Reserve 2024 and Privat Grande Reserve 2022 each earned eight Gold medals at Wiener Landessieger 2025. Cabernet Sauvignon Ried Kadolzberg Grande Reserve 2022 and Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC Ried Kadolzberg both took Gold twice at AWC Vienna Frühjahrstasting 2025. Riesling Eiswein 2022 won Gold at NÖ-Thermenregion 2025. The operation functions as a Heuriger, serving a buffet of salads, spreads, sausage, cheese, and cold roasts alongside the wines.
