High Peaks Winery opened in Winthrop in 2011, two years after its founding. The operation relocated to 805 Pickle Street in 2014 and now anchors a tasting room open Friday through Sunday from 1pm to 7pm Friday and Saturday and 1pm to 5pm Sunday. The program produces Riesling, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a portfolio that includes Placid, Red Shred, Ramble on Rose, Lakeside White, Wilderness White, Summit Red, Mountain View Red, and Riverflow Red. Wine by the glass or bottle runs $18. The house also pours wine slushies and hosts events on a custom-built patio, starting at $200 per hour. Dogs are welcome.
