Habsburg

About

Habsburg began in 2020 on four hectares in Wagram, Vienna's wine region. Maximilian Habsburg-Lothringen, trained in winemaking and oenology at Salzburg's Schloss Klessheim, leads the program. Hand-harvested grapes become Grüner Veltliner, Zweigelt, Merlot, and Syrah. The white ages in modern stainless steel. The reds rest in new French Barrique oak each vintage. Twenty thousand bottles annually from the house.
