Grindstone Island Winery Corp. sits on Grindstone Island in Clayton, New York. Upper Schoolhouse Red is named after one of the island's two one-room schoolhouses. Lower Schoolhouse White is named after Grindstone's Lower White Schoolhouse. Delaney Bay Red takes its name from Delaney Bay. The portfolio spans Baco Noir, Frontenac, Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Prairie Star. The house pours an Unfiltered Baco Noir with intense barrel aging, a Baco Noir Rosé from estate-grown Baco Noir grapes, a 2017 semi-sweet Riesling, and a Tawny Red Port crafted outside Portugal. Food service, outdoor seating, and a picnic area are available.
