About Green and Red Vineyard
Founder Jay Heminway, a former U.C. Berkeley sculpture teacher, planted these steep Chiles Valley hillsides and pressed his first public vintage in 1977. Today his daughter Tobin Heminway carries the estate forward with her husband Ray Hannigan, farming three vineyards that climb from 800 to 2,000 feet, where red chert soils yield seriously good Zinfandel.
