Frisinger Family, LLC

About

Jim and Karen Frisinger purchased twenty acres in Oak Knoll District in 1981. Jim, a viticulturist at Beringer with a master's degree in Viticulture and Oenology from U.C. Davis, planted the vineyard. Their first vintage came in 1985, Chardonnay from the estate. For years, grapes from the property supplied Chateau Montelana, Duckhorn, and Beringer. Karl Frisinger and his wife Rachel later revived the family winery. The wine press on their label was on the land when the family first purchased the property in 1981.
