Free State Cellars

Free State Cellars in Orange produces small-batch artisanal wines from a working vineyard. The portfolio spans Muscadine, Tempranillo, Viognier, Roussanne, and Picpoul Blanc, alongside the Heirloom Collection and Texas Select. Country Fruit Wines in peach, blueberry, blackberry, and strawberry round out the program, along with frozen sangrias and Specialty Spritzers made in-house. Tastings unfold in the Sunday House, a mid-century modern retreat overlooking the vineyard. August brings Community Harvest events, where visitors join sunrise yoga, pick white and red muscadines, share a harvest breakfast, and stomp grapes barefoot to live music. The Smugglers Union wine club offers curated shipments, members-only parties, discount pricing, early access to new releases, and first access to events.
