Jim Fore left his work as an engineer draftsman at Mare Island Naval Shipyard to plant 17 acres on Cobb Mountain in 2005. That first vintage, Cabernet, Syrah, and Grenache Noir from the property, set the template. Diane Fore stepped away from teaching to join the operation full time. The program now produces around 1000 cases annually, drawing entirely from estate fruit. The portfolio spans Grenache Blanc, Albariño, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel. The tasting room sits at 3924 Main Street in Kelseyville, open Saturdays noon to five and Sundays noon to four.
