Flag Hill Farm

About

Flag Hill Farm has operated across 250 acres in Vershire since 1984, powered entirely by solar energy for over three decades. Sebastian Lousada and Sabra Ewing craft certified organic hard ciders, apple brandy, and cider vinegars from over 80 cultivated and wild apple varieties. The farm was Vermont's first organic and solar-powered cidery. Beyond the cellar, the land follows Audubon guidelines for bird and pollinator habitat, raises fine wool sheep, and is permanently protected through the Vermont Land Trust. Lousada began making traditional country wines in England at age twelve.
