About Farella-Park Vineyards LLC
Farella-Park Vineyards planted the first Cabernet Sauvignon vines in Coombsville, then produced the first Cabernet wine from the AVA itself. Founded in 1977, the winery released its first wines in 1985 from a 400 square foot facility. Tom Farella took over winemaking in 1991, the same year Cabernet Sauvignon joined the program. Ryan Pass was promoted to Winemaker after 2018. The house works Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Malbec. Farella Alta, a proprietary blend first made in the 2001 vintage, was reborn in 2014.
