About
Thirty minutes northwest of Columbia, an eight-acre vineyard in Newberry grows Carlos and Noble Muscadine vines, planted in 2006 by owners Richard and Laura LaBarre with family. Black Spanish, or Lenoir, grapevines joined the estate in fall 2009. The wines are made from real juice, never kits or artificial chemicals, and aged in stainless-steel tanks. Enoree River is Certified SC Grown and Certified SC Produced, and belongs to the SC Agritourism Association. In 2010, Upper Room, a tasting room, was built overlooking the vineyard. A pergola for weddings and events followed in 2016, and in 2022 a covered porch and outdoor stage were added for live music. Each autumn, the winery hosts a Harvest Festival.
