About
Six acres of vineyard in Goochland, Virginia, planted with Norton, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Albariño, Petit Verdot, Tannat, Merlot, and Sagrantino. Elk Island sources additional fruit from neighboring Goochland vineyards. Towpath, a Virginia-style Bordeaux blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Norton, and Tannat, takes its name from the Kanawha Canal towpath that once ran through the farm, now railroad tracks. The wine retails at $25. Select bottles appear at Wegmans in Richmond. A Case Buyers Club offers discounts on the portfolio, and the facility opens for special occasions.
