About Dreihart Winery, L.L.C.
Dreihart Winery was founded in 1990 in New Buffalo, Michigan, with Gottfried as winemaker. The name 'Drei Hart' means 'Three Harts,' honoring Gottfried, Anne, and their daughter Eleanor, and also pays tribute to Gottfried's parents and mentors, Robert and Agnes Hart. The winery cultivates a vineyard in Three Oaks Township, specializing in vinifera and hybrid grapes to produce dry, complex wines reminiscent of those from Germany and Austria. The tasting room offers food and is open Thursday through Sunday. Reservations are recommended for groups of four or more.
