Domäne Roland Chan

About

Roland Chan established this domäne in 2017 on the steep dry-stone terraces of Wachau's historic crus. Achleiten, Klaus, Bach, and Höll anchor the work. Harvested by hand in successive passes, yields deliberately held below 4,000 kg per hectare. The program releases wines two years after harvest. Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, and Weissburgunder form the portfolio. Member of Vinea Wachau since 2019 and certified Sustainable Austria as of 2024. The Riesling Smaragd Ried Klaus 2021 ranked 25th in James Suckling's Top 100 Wines Austria 2023. The Weissburgunder Smaragd from Höll took Best in Show at DWWA 2026.
