Al Brounstein planted Bordeaux varietals on Diamond Mountain in 1968 when nobody else was doing it. Four separate vineyard blocks—Gravelly Meadow, Red Rock Terrace, Volcanic Hill, Lake—each with different soils and microclimates. Single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons since before anyone cared about the term.
