Detente Wines

About

Trevor Iba and Julian Caustrita produce Detente's small-lot wines from Colburn Vineyard, a family-owned site in the Adelaida District on Paso Robles' west side. Slopes between 10-20%, elevation of 940 feet, and Nacimiento-Los Osos and Linne Colado soils characterize the vineyard. Syrah, Grenache, Graciano, and Pedro Ximé are made using a winemaking approach that blends old-world tradition with new-world technique. Iba brings 12+ years of wine industry experience. Caustrita's background spans 16+ years in creative strategy, product design, and UI/UX design. Private tasting experiences are available. The downtown tasting room closed in September 2023.
