About
Third-generation farmer Reinaldo De Lucca carries forward a family legacy that began in Canelones in 1914. His education spans continents. Agronomic Engineering at the University of Montevideo, then a masters in Plant Physiology and Communication from Penn State, followed by a Masters in Viticulture and PhD in Viticulture earned in France. Time in Israel studying irrigation, fertigation, and communication deepened his technical foundation. Tannat was planted near the winery in 1905 and 1906, but frost removed those vines from the site. Today the cellar works in brick tanks.
