About
Marvin Dunson founded Currahee Vineyard & Winery in 2008 on his family's former apple orchard at the base of Currahee Mountain in Pigeon Forge. Planting began in 2009. The vineyard produces hand-crafted wines from Vinifera, Muscadine, and Lenoir grapes, including the dark, rich Muscadine wine Midnight with blackberry essence and Currahee Red, a smooth semi-dry red made from Georgia-grown Black Spanish. The tasting room is open Thursday through Saturday from 11:00AM to 6:00PM and Sunday from 1:00PM to 6:00PM, with live music offered Saturday and Sunday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.
