This Waitaki Valley winery sits on a north-facing limestone slope that rivals Burgundy's terrain, producing deeply complex Pinot Noirs and Pinot Gris from low-vigour vines. Founded by Jim Jerram and Jeff Sinnott, who have deep roots in the land, Clos Ostler is pioneering cool-climate viticulture in New Zealand's challenging yet ideal terrain. Under new ownership, they're investing in the vineyard and infrastructure to keep polishing what's already a gem.
