About Château Lafon Rochet
Saint-Estèphe, 1855. Classified as Grand Cru Classé, Château Lafon Rochet draws from vines with some plots planted over eighty years ago. The average vine age across the estate is around thirty-eight years.
Christophe Congé arrived as Managing Director in 2022. The portfolio divides clearly. Château Lafon-Rochet, the Grand Vin, draws from the oldest vines and highest plots. Les Pèlerins de Lafon-Rochet, the second cuvée, is made from younger vines.
The blend is forty-eight percent Cabernet Sauvignon and forty-five percent Merlot, with three point five percent Petit Verdot and three point five percent Cabernet Franc.
